The mandates of the councilors of the Capital City Assembly were verified at today's constitutive session.
The session was presided over by Mitar Vuković, member of Democratic Montenegro as the oldest member.
He read the number of mandates won by lists in local elections.
As he added, the mandates were assigned according to the place on the electoral list.
Vuković read the names of the councilors of the next convocation of the Podgorica parliament.
He congratulated the newly elected councilors and stated that Jelena Borovinić Bojović, as the current president of the Assembly and Branko Vuković as the current vice president, ended their mandate with the constitution of the new convocation of the Assembly.
The second item on the agenda was the election of a new president of the local parliament, but since no one was nominated, the session was adjourned.
Councilors have until December 28 to agree on a new president of the Capital City Assembly.
According to the results of the local elections held on September 29, in the new convocation of the parliament, the Democratic Party of Socialists will have 19 councilors, the coalition of the Europe Now Movement and Democratic Montenegro will have 14, and the coalition for the future of Podgorica will have 13.
