Last night's announcement by the former president of the Municipality of Kotor, Vladimir Jokić, that he will file a complaint with the State Election Commission (SEC) is clearly a plan for a new lawlessness in which he wants to involve the members of the Municipal Election Commission (MEC) and the SEC, and about which the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) previously already filed several criminal charges. Faced with an electoral defeat, Jokić wants to continue obstructing legal processes at all costs, drawing other people into it who can bear serious legal responsibility, the Kotor DPS assessed.
"Announcing that for the same legal matter who knows how many times, due to the non-convening of the session of the MEC in order to announce the final results of the elections in Kotor, he will send a complaint to the SEC, is the latest in a series of attempts to abuse the will of the citizens by a local loser who the citizens have turned their back on.
"Instead of respecting the legally binding and executive decisions of the second-level body, Jokić encourages MEC members to abuse their official position, doing so contrary to the Rules of Procedure of the MEC," states the statement that the municipal board of the Kotor DPS submitted to the media.
The DPS says that no session of the MEC can be convened as long as the proceedings on their appeal before the Constitutional Court are ongoing.
"For this reason, we warn all those who waver and think about agreeing to Jokić's incitement that they will be immediately faced with serious criminal responsibility, for which the law provides for prison sentences. So - don't play with the law, don't allow yourself to be instructed by a loser who takes desperate measures, while he wants to involve only you and no one else in the problem", they say from this party.
They reminded that they have already filed two criminal charges, and that they will do so in the future whenever they come across a violation of the law.
"Do not defy the institutions, because nothing and no one, especially not the one who can no longer hide from electoral defeats even in coalitions, is not worth risking a flagrant violation of legal procedures and risking imprisonment," concluded the Kotor DPS.
