As a responsible political entity, we recognize the importance of accelerated urbanization, but increasingly its impact on the environment and cultural identity of our city, said the candidate for councilor of the Democrat list in the elections in Berane, "We preserve our roots, we build Berane" Martin Kljajić.
He said that they are sure that development and nature conservation can be harmoniously connected.
"That is why we are bringing a clear and ambitious plan to turn Beran into a green, orderly city that will be an example of responsible space management," said Kljajić.
He added that he will take the following steps accordingly:
1. Arrangement of the park around the Temple of Simeon Mirotočivo
"The space around this spiritual and cultural symbol of Beran will be transformed into a place worthy of our tradition. We will also erect a monument to Metropolitan Amfilohi in the park, in honor of his immeasurable contribution to the preservation of the spirituality and national unity of Beran and Montenegro," he said.
2. Reconstruction of the town square
"The square, as a central meeting place for our fellow citizens, will get a new look, which will combine modern standards and the cultural uniqueness of Beran. This space will become a symbol of the openness and dynamism of our city," said Kljajić.
3. Reconstruction of the large park "Kod Lim"
"We will revive one of the most important natural areas in our city, which will provide a place for rest, recreation and gathering of families. This park will be a model for preserving natural resources in accordance with the needs of modern society," says Kljajić.
"In all these projects, we will cooperate with the relevant institutions at the state level, as well as with professional associations, because only with joint efforts can we make Berane a better place to live. Urban planning and landscaping is one of the urgent tasks of the new team headed by Božo Premović. Support us in the realization of these visions. We preserve the roots, we build Berane," he concluded.
