The parliamentary club of Democratic Montenegro Mojkovac announced today that at the next session of the Mojkovac Municipal Assembly (SO) it will propose a package of social measures, the implementation of which would begin in January 2025.
"It will be proposed to change the decision on rights from social and child protection, which will increase the municipal one-time compensation for the first-born child from 300 euros to 1.000 euros, for the second-born from 300 euros to 1.500 euros, for twins, the third-born and each subsequent child will be increased from 300 , 400 euros to 2.000 euros We continue to improve the social position of our fellow citizens and We remind you that the allowance for newborns was increased from 102 euros to 1.000 euros for the first-born, 1.500 euros for the second-born, 2.000 euros for the third-born, and 2.500 euros for each subsequent child conditions of every newborn child, as a new member of our society," the statement of the Mojkovac Democrats points out.
They added that "as a socially responsible municipality, social policy and care for people are the focus of the local government, and in accordance with such policy, the next measure we propose is a new decision on the participation of the municipality of Mojkovac in the costs of children's stay in kindergarten".
"With this decision, the municipality of Mojkovac will subsidize all children's stay and meals in kindergarten in the amount of 50 percent," the announcement reads.
The Mojkovac Democrats stated that they will propose another new measure, which is the Decision on financial support for elementary school students up to the ninth grade who attend school in rural areas.
"Financial support for elementary school students up to the ninth grade who attend school in rural areas is 30 euros per child per month. For families whose child is a beneficiary of material security, the support is 50 euros per child. Faced with the decline in the birth rate and the fact of emigration from the north, we have taken measures which are beneficial to our citizens and above all to children and families to live in Mojkovac," the announcement concludes.
