The head of the parliamentary group Pokreta Evropa sad (PES) Vasilije Čarapić announced that the talk about reducing the number of years of work experience required for the general director of the Public Service (RTCG - Radio Television of Montenegro) is being recycled in anticipation of the closing of Chapter 10 in Montenegro's negotiations with the European Union ( EU).
"Now this story is being recycled in anticipation of the closing of Chapter 10, in the hope that our neighbors will hear the media noise in Montenegro about the RTCG and possibly postpone the closing of this chapter. The reason for this is not latent anti-Europeanism, but an unprecedented struggle for profit and a better favor of media planning and buying agencies, who decide by the end of the year how much money to give to which media," Čarapić wrote on the X social network.
He added that he reminded that "this campaign of fake news was completely cut back in June, when the media laws were being adopted, when the double agent of the private media, Neđeljko Rudović, fell silent and watched with his head bowed as despite his attempt at obstruction, we managed to defend IBAR".
"A week later - the same practice continues. However, this time, along with comical spit, we received free falsified documents and false statements that the amendments made by the PES to the media laws were not approved by our European partners, even though the document denies this," said Čarapić and published a part of the document of the Council of Europe.
Čarapić said in an interview broadcast last night on the program Načsto on Television Vijesti that the European Commission (EC) gave a positive opinion on the PES amendment to the Law on the National Public Broadcaster, related to the reduction of the number of years of work experience required for the general director of the Public Service.
The author and editor of the show, Petar Komenić, then said that Čarapić's statement was a lie, and that PES "stole" Boris Raonic's election to the position of general director of RTCG.
