According to preliminary data from the polling stations - Podgorica Remand Prison, Bijelo Polje Prison and Prison for long sentences, a total of 32 prisoners voted, and there were a total of 31 valid votes.
According to the preliminary unofficial results from the Democratic headquarters, in 57 polling stations, the list "Berane in first place, PES-SNP" received 33,41 percent of the votes, that is, 4.545 votes or 13 mandates.
According to the same data, the list "For the future of Beran - NSD, DNP, UCG, PCG" received 21,80 percent of the votes, i.e. 2.964 votes or 8 mandates.
List "For Berane! Both with heart and knowledge! Dr. Miro Nedić" received 14,09 percent of votes, that is, 1.915 votes or 5 mandates.
The Justice and Reconciliation Party won 0,43 percent, i.e. 58 votes and 0 mandates.
Free Montenegro won 2,85 percent, i.e. 388 votes and 0 mandates.
The group of citizens "We live for youth - Milanko Šćekić" received 0,60 percent of the vote, that is, 82 votes and 0 mandate.
The European Union received 1,88 percent of the votes, that is, 255 votes or 0 mandates.
Democratic Montenegro received 12,53 percent, i.e. 1.703 votes or 4 mandates.
The Bosniak Party won 6,08 percent, that is, 827 votes and 2 mandate.
The civil movement Because I Love Berane received 6,34 percent of the vote, or 862 votes or 2 mandates.
In Berane, after the previous elections, held in 2022, the government of 19 councilors was formed by the coalition "For the future of Berane", the Democrats, the list "Berane Sad", Prava Montenegro and United Montenegro, by sending the previously ruling SNP into the opposition. .
The political crisis that resulted in extraordinary local elections occurred this summer, when the agreed rotation in the post of municipal president between the NSD and the Democrats failed, because the ruling coalition did not have the necessary majority for that.
On September 4, the Ministry of Public Administration dissolved the local parliament and introduced forced administration, that is, appointed a board of commissioners, and a day later, on September 5, the state president Jakov Milatović called for elections.
Ten papers participated in the local elections in Berane, and 23.645 voters had the right to vote.
