I am glad that many who, together with their partners, brought Mojkovac and Montenegro to this state now understand the extent of their mistakes, said the member of the Party of European Progress (SEP) Petar Lakićević and added that no one who cares about the well-being of Mojkovac cannot help but do not support the criticism of the president of Mojkovac URA and councilor in the Mojkovac Municipal Assembly, Boško Laketić, against the current government, which in the budget for 2025 did not foresee money for capital projects crucial for development of Mojkovac.
Neither this government nor the governments in the previous three years did that, Lakićević pointed out.
"During the mandate of the 41st Government of Montenegro, Prime Minister Duško Marković, more than 30 million euros were invested in key projects in Mojkovac - from the ski resort "Žarski", the rehabilitation of the tailings pond and its transformation into a sports and recreation zone with a footbridge over the highway, a recycling center, a business zone , the protection of the Gojakovići water source and the rehabilitation of the Zakršnica landfill and the infrastructure of Mojkovac. What has been done since then? Unfortunately, nothing. "The government that placed Mojkovac and the Northern region of Montenegro high on the development map and projects that increased the quality of life of the citizens was overthrown. All that has been done since then is that the projects have stopped and that the development of the city has stopped," he said in a statement delivered to the media.
Lakićević pointed out that the citizens of Mojkovac and Montenegro clearly see who worked in their interest, and who used them for political experiments.
"It is time for the authorities in Mojkovac and at the state level to ask themselves why citizens have lost trust in them. Mojkovac still has the potential for development, but development is not created by empty words and amendments coming from those who supported the collapse of the state capital budget.
The Party of European Progress calls again for responsible politics. Mojkovac deserves concrete projects, not political games and attempts to justify one's own mistakes. Our commitment to Mojkovac remains unwavering, because the citizens know who has worked in their interest and who will continue to do so," he concluded.
