Since in the previous two days more confusing information was presented from authorities at the local and state level regarding the felling of trees in Zagorič, and for the reason of determining the specific responsibility, the Councilor for Turnaround in the Assembly of the Capital City, Mirza Krnić, turned to the mayor and the competent city services with a request for information about the felling of trees in Zagorič committed by an investor on the site of a former barracks, it was announced from this political movement.
Krnić demanded information on whether the cadastre of trees on the territory of Podgorica was done, which is an implied part of the cadastre of green areas, what the capital did to prevent the felling of trees, as well as why none of the city services reacted in real time to prevented the felling of trees.
"The felling of trees in Zagorič caused irreparable damage, but this situation should lead to pressure to change the disputed legislation, as well as the practice of the competent authorities both at the local and state level. Therefore, it is important to determine all elements of responsibility in order to sanction those who they violate the rules and laws and so that such 'actions' would not be repeated in the future," said Krnić.
