Today, as a supplement to the agenda of the Assembly session, which was announced for Tuesday, December 10, the Bosniak Party's Club of Deputies proposed a Proposal for a Resolution on the Genocide in Šahovići.
"Given the fact that this year marks the hundredth anniversary of this crime, that the crime took place in a peacetime period, and that no court or any other proceedings were ever initiated, that no one was ever held accountable and there was no conviction by the authorities of the time , and even later, we consider it necessary that, as a mature society, we face this crime so that it never happens again to anyone," said the party.
They said that they see that confrontation as a civilizing act of adopting that resolution and that they expect the support of all deputies.
"It is not our goal to point the finger at anyone, nor at any nation, because all the perpetrators of this heinous act have long since passed away. We want to satisfy justice with this resolution, as much as possible, and clearly show as a society that we have matured, and that "The killing of innocent people cannot be justified just because they are of a different religion or nation," the statement reads.
