Slovenia is determined to continue supporting Montenegro in the process of European integration, said the head of Slovenian diplomacy, Tanja Fajon, in a conversation with the Vice President of the Montenegrin Government, Filip Ivanović.
As announced by the Government, Fajon and Ivanović pointed to the friendly and close relations between the two countries, stressing the importance of continuous political dialogue and successful bilateral cooperation.
"Ivanović thanked Slovenia for its support for the European integration of Montenegro, while the Slovenian head of diplomacy reiterated Slovenia's determination to continue supporting this process," the statement said.
As it was added, key regional and international issues were also discussed at the meeting.
"With the expressed readiness of both sides to continue deepening relations and cooperation at all levels", the announcement states.
The Government pointed out that Fajon's meeting with Ivanović represents another step in strengthening friendly ties and cooperation between the two countries, as well as confirmation of a common commitment to the stability and progress of the region.
