The Municipal Committee of the Socialist People's Party (SNP) Podgorica believes that the time to reach an agreement on key issues in the capital is almost over. The citizens of Podgorica and projects that improve their quality of life must be in the first place, and it is up to those responsible to recognize the urgency of the situation and act in the interests of the citizens, and not to prioritize short-term political calculations, according to the announcement of this political party.
The SNP said that an official call for dialogue must follow as soon as possible in order to be able to start talks and ultimately reach an agreement.
"Currently, the most important thing is for all actors to show the will to overcome disagreements, because it is the citizens who are suffering due to the blockade of the Capital City's institutions, which has been going on for over a year. Tensions must be reduced in order to ensure stability and conditions for the development of Podgorica", they point out.
The political party reminded that if the budget is not adopted on time, temporary financing would be introduced, which would make it impossible to implement key projects.
"Responsibility for this outcome will be borne by everyone who obstructs the process, and citizens will not forget who stood in the way of providing better living conditions," the announcement concludes.
