Socialist People's Party (SNP) deputy Slađana Kaluđerović said that she is sure that Prime Minister Milojko Spajić thought carefully and took into account all segments and important information before making the decision to appoint a new director of the National Security Agency (ANB).
The government stated last night that Boris Milić is no longer the director of ANB, after he submitted his resignation, and appointed Ivica Janović as acting (acting) director of ANB.
"It is important that it be a person of trust and integrity, a person who is honest and who will be ready to protect the interests of the state in the best possible way," Kaluđerović said at a working breakfast with journalists.
In response to the question of how to comment on the dismissal of the director of ANB and the unusual situation that a businessman was proposed as acting director, she pointed out that it is important and stated in the law that the director of ANB must be in some kind of communication and accountable to the prime minister and the executive power so that those branches authorities could function in the best way.
"Time will tell if it was the best decision," said Kaluđerović.
In response to the question of the SNP's position regarding yesterday's initiative by the President Jakov Milatović to reform the electoral system through the introduction of open electoral lists, SNP MP Bogdan Božović said that the SNP has been advocating for it for many years and that they have nothing against to introduce electoral lists and to be part of the electoral cycle.
"We have nothing against it, and it is good that a constructive proposal from the president of the state has come, and every time it comes, we will support it, if it is in line with our program commitments and if we assess that it is something that is good and useful for our society," he said. is Božović.
He said that the majority of parties in power and positions had declaratively advocated for this in the previous period, and that he saw no reason why they would not support such a proposal now.
Kaluđerović pointed out that in that part, a way should be found to ensure that women are represented on the list, given that the legal quota is now 30 percent, and that the aim is to have 40 percent representation of women on the lists.
Answering the question whether they are optimistic that the government in Podgorica will be formed soon, Božović said that they are optimistic that the government will be formed within the legal deadline.
"Last night on the show 'Nachisto', the advisor to the president said that Milatović sent an official invitation for dialogue to the prime minister, so we hope that the prime minister will respond positively," said Božović.
He said that citizens are suffering the most because of this situation, and that Podgorica has been under blockade for a year.
"I think we only have two weeks to reach an agreement, so it is clear that the greatest responsibility at this moment lies with the prime minister and the president. I hope they understand and are responsible enough not to allow some personal disagreements to prevent the formation of a government in Podgorica ", said Bozovic.
Answering the question whether he expects the URA Civic Movement to give up its insistence that Luka Rakčević be the mayor of Podgorica, Božović said that he would include the GP URA in the negotiations, because it is the party that carried the burden of the 43rd Government and when the Government was formed after the victory in 2020 . year.
"This should be recognized and all parties that are true fighters against crime and corruption should be gathered, even though it is not related to a local issue. Essentially, everything depends on the GP URA and how they are set up. If they insist on it and remain firm in their positions, they themselves exclude themselves," said Božović.
Kaluđerović said that last year certain progress was made in the field of justice and that results are visible in the fight against organized crime and corruption.
"However, we cannot say that the prosecution and the police do not produce results. The worst segment of the judiciary is the judiciary," said Kaluđerović.
Answering the question of how they comment that NSD did not allow journalists from Vijesti and TV Vijesti to enter their premises during the election day in Berane, Božović said that this is a question for that party.
"It is not up to us to regulate the media, but to see them as a corrective factor of society," he said.
Regarding the announced work of the Inquiry Committee, which will deal with the elucidation of political murders and attacks on journalists, Kaluđerović said that this committee is a way to actualize issues that have been "swept under the carpet", because these topics are not brought up too much.
She pointed out that the murders of Duško Jovanović, Pavlo Bulatović, Slavoljub Šćekić should be shed light on...
"An investigative vacation can judge... It can help the prosecution," said Kaluđerović.
