The blocking of the closing of negotiation chapter 31, due to the violation of good neighborly relations, is another confirmation that this parliamentary majority and this Government cannot introduce Montenegro into the European Union, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) assessed.
From that party, they announced that since the beginning of the 44th Government, they have warned of the fact "that anti-European political subjects cannot be part of the European path of Montenegro and that the parliamentary majority, headed by Andrija Mandić, will threaten the realization of the key foreign policy priority of the state policy". .
"The destruction of good-neighborly relations, notes of protest from almost all countries in the region, the fact that the highest state officials are prohibited from entering neighboring Croatia, as well as the latest embarrassment when Mandić was de facto declared persona non grata in Brussels, today came to be paid for in the form of blocking the negotiation chapter 31. Due to all of the above, as well as due to the fact that the Government has been completely delegitimized by the results of the local elections, it is necessary to urgently hold extraordinary parliamentary elections, after which Montenegro would receive a clear pro-European majority and the Government the goal of which would be full membership in the European Union by the end of its mandate," DPS announced.
