The president of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Danijel Živković, announced today that a constitutional coup had taken place.
"What they are aiming for is passing a law on Montenegrin citizenship, and this coup aims to form a Constitutional Court that will work according to the orders of the majority. Spajić (Milojko, President of the Government of Montenegro) is responsible for what happened and what will happen." and Mandić (Andrija, President of the Republic of Montenegro)", said Živković at a press conference in the Parliament of Montenegro
He added that work in the Committee for Electoral Legislation is "dead".
He also addressed the chief special prosecutor of the GST, Vladimir Novović, and the supreme state prosecutor, Milorad Marković.
"We call on Vladimir Novović and Milorad Marković to directly investigate the activities of the coup plotters from the parliamentary majority. We also invite the judges of the Constitutional Court to declare themselves. As for us, from the DPS, we will offer an answer to the coup plotters' activities," said Živković.
Abazović: Introduction to the creeping dictatorship of Spajić and Mandić must be prevented
The President of the Citizens' Movement URA, Dritan Abazović, announced that this was a prelude to other actions that should bring Montenegro to its knees.
"This is the reason why we, despite the political differences, are here today - to defend the Constitution and laws. This is being done so that the Constitutional Court would suspend all elections until 2027. The introduction to the creeping dictatorship of Spajić and Mandić must be prevented. We call on the judges to inform the Constitutional Court What do the board think about all this? We are a special branch of government. If someone doesn't understand that, they shouldn't be in office," Abazović said at the press conference.

Onje added that this kind of behavior, this kind of trampling on the Constitution, is a criminal act.
"We invite the authorities to take over their activities. We are grateful to the MPs of the minority parties, who did not support the solutions, even though a part of them is the majority. We invite all others who are not members of the Constitutional Committee to join us because this is not a fight for DPS either, but for GP URA, not even for PES, but for democracy," said Abazović.
He said that they are calling on the President of Montenegro to actively get involved, given that his role in the selection of a judge also exists.
"Until further notice, we are suspending all activities in the Committee for Comprehensive Reform. To be clear, people do not want new elections in Podgorica and Budva, but will choose a forced administration so they can choose who rules. If they think they can humiliate every body, they won't be able to. They won't power, so that no more sessions of the Assembly will be held. I appeal to the judges to hold sessions, send a letter and give the committee an opinion on the unconstitutional actions of the parliamentary majority," he said. Abazovic.
Vuksanović: We will not allow the Constitution to be trampled on; Mugoša: I call on the parties from the ruling majority, which do not want to be accomplices, to leave the coalition government
The president of the Croatian Civic Initiative (HGI) Adrija Vuksanović said that they are aware of the crisis that Montenegro is going through.

"HGI and the Croats are part of Montenegro. We will not allow the Constitution to be trampled on," said Vuksanović.
MP of the Social Democrats (SD) Boris Mugoša said that between democracy and anarchy, the majority MPs chose anarchy because they lost the elections in Budva and Podgorica and because they will also lose the elections in Nikšić.

"And they are doing all this so that they, complacent on the basis of political deals, would crush Montenegro. Judges in this parliament were given the privilege of being in that position for 12 years, but we require them to protect the constitution, which is their duty. I invite the parties from the ruling majority , who do not want to be accomplices, to leave the coalition government and to defend the country together with us, not the party, Mugoša said.
Živković: I will not allow Mandić to bring Montenegro to its knees
When asked by journalists how he would react, Živković said that the citizens would have an opportunity and that he would not allow the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić to bring Montenegro to its knees.
Dotted logo of the Assembly
DPS MPs Oskar Huter and Mihailo Anđušić, before the start of the media conference, painted the logo of the Assembly with ballpoint pens.
Before the press conference, a smoke bomb was thrown at the session of the Constitutional Committee of the Assembly.
After that, the DPS deputies who were at the session of the Constitutional Court entered the plenary hall for the session, after which the Speaker of the Parliament Andrija Mandić took a break.
