The editor-in-chief of "Vijesti" Mihailo Jovović responded to the reaction of the Movement for Podgorica.
We transmit his answer in full:
"The movement for Podgorica in the unsigned 'denial' tries to deny something that is not written in the text that they 'deny'.
The article does not say that they are close to 'negotiations, but only an agreement' on a coalition with the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), but that they are one step closer to the decision to do so, that is, they are closer to that decision than they were a few days ago.
The interlocutors from the Movement for Podgorica with whom 'Vijesti' spoke know this very well. Of the four councilors of the Movement for Podgorica, journalists spoke with three, two did not want to comment, but neither denied that what 'Vijesti' wrote was happening.
Even the councilor who opposes the alliance with the DPS did not say that this is not true, and if he changed his mind since yesterday and is now in favor of a coalition with the DPS, that is another matter, we will inquire today.
"News" do not try to "introduce discord" for the sake of "petty, particular" interests, because they do not have such interests in this case either.
So, you can continue to 'deny' as much as you want, but you and I know very well that this is completely true from the first sentence.
I take the opportunity to warmly greet dear 'journalists' and 'media', who continue to publish 'denials' to something they have not previously published, so their readers have no idea what it is about, but have to come to us to get information.
Thanks for bringing us your readers too, keep it up," the reply reads.
