Officials of the coalitions Movement Europe Now-Democrats and For the Future of Podgorica talked tonight with a representative of the Movement for Podgorica about the formation of government in the capital, but as they claim from those parties, nothing concrete was agreed upon.
Several sources told Vijesti that at the informal meeting, the list bearer of the PES-Democrat coalition Saša Mujović, Vladimir Čađenović (Democrats), Jelena Borovinić Bojović and Radoš Zečević from ZBPG and Miloš Krstović, councilor of the Movement for Podgorica, were present.
According to unofficial information from Vijesti, at the meeting, the representatives of the coalitions that make up the government at the state level presented their initial positions, that is, demands that Mujović be mayor for a full term, and Borovinić Bojović remain at the head of the assembly.
One of the sources of Vijesti from the ruling coalition said that the talks are ongoing, that they have not encountered insurmountable lines from either side at the moment.
Talks with representatives of the Movement for Podgorica, which is supported by the head of state Jakov Milatović, followed last night's meeting between Milatović and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić.
The two talked for four hours, but the public is not yet aware of whether the former party colleagues converged on their positions on several state issues and whether they "paved the way" for the formation of the government in Podgorica.
The elections in Podgorica were held on September 29, and DPS won 19 mandates, the Europe Now Movement (PES) and Democrats won 14 seats, the alliance "For the Future of Podgorica" 13, the list "Za bolja Podgorica" six, the European Union three, and Party of European Progress (SEP) and Movement "Revolution" for two mandates each.
The Movement for Podgorica is also negotiating with DPS, but one of their councilors opposes an agreement with that party.
Without him, Pokret and URA cannot form a government with DPS and the rest of the opposition because they would have 29 councilors, and they need at least 30 to be in power.
The ruling parties can establish an administration even without the votes of the GP URA, and with the support of four councilors of the PzPG. In that case, they would have 31 mandates in the Podgorica parliament.
