The Democrats of Budva announced that they will not be part of the "Spuska coalition", and that women can give legitimacy to the management of the municipality from detention and to the coalition with the DPS, which, they claim, the holder of the list "Budva our city" Nikola Jovanović is preparing.
"Mr. Nikola Jovanović knows, as he has been told several times, that the support of the Democrats cannot, and will never, be won by a policy that is managed from a detention cell in Spuša," the Budva Democrats said in a statement.
They point out that Jovanović was told several times that he must distance himself from that influence and "the way of managing the city that caused the repeated elections indefinitely, the dysfunctional executive power, the debts in which the municipal companies find themselves and, in principle, an unacceptably bad atmosphere that is so irresponsible, selfish politics built in Budva".
"We have no problem being in the opposition. Certainly, we cannot give legitimacy to the management of the municipality from custody and the coalition with DPS, which Nikola Jovanović is preparing. We hope that the people who are candidates for councilors on his list know what such a political maneuver means".
The Budva Democrats state that they believe that the ambition of an individual to manage the city, "such as Nikola Jovanović's," cannot and should not be something that has an influence on the choice of the future government in Budva.
"To everyone who does not share our views, repeated on this occasion, we recommend that they remember the promises of all political actors in Budva during the last and previous election campaigns. Dear fellow citizens, do not allow your will to vote to be used to achieve the interests of people in custody and their financiers The Democrats are not and will not be part of the 'Spuska coalition', mere executors of the ideas born in the minds of Zoran Lazović and Milo Božović," say the Budva Democrats.
