Mugoša: As early as December 28, we can form the government, and negotiations will continue on Tuesday

The holder of the list of the European Union, Boris Mugoša, announced that the European Union, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), the coalition for a better Podgorica and the Party of European Progress (SEP) can already form the government in Podgorica on December 28.

Mugoša pointed out that the focus is on program objectives.

"The city is in a VD state. We focused on projects. As for the personnel policy, we agree that a category should be implemented. We should not agree on it first, but rather agree on the goals, and which people will best carry it out." , he said.

Mugoša pointed out that he thinks that the task of political structures is to listen to the voice of citizens.

"I am sure that, guided by those principles, we can form the government on December 28.12," said Mugoša.

He announced that at the meeting on negotiations for the formation of the government in Podgorica, there were lists that received the support of 55 percent of the citizens.

He said that he was satisfied with the responsibility and constructiveness.

"We talked about platforms, on the table were the platforms of ES, the coalition for a better Podgorica, DPS, SEP and they are quite similar," said Mugoša.

"We agree on some program priorities that we should stick to. We will continue the talks tomorrow, because it is logical that today we could not cover all the segments concerning the formation of the government," he added.

The holder of the SEP list Ilija Mugoša said that the party will stand for the program priorities, and that they will agree on the personnel ones.

"We have agreed to agree on the most important functions already tomorrow - the mayor, the president of the Municipal Assembly (SO), the deputy mayor, the vice president of the local parliament," said Mugoša.

Mileta Radovanić (GP URA) said that they have official conclusions regarding program solutions.

"Tomorrow we will go one step further. There was a positive atmosphere and I believe that it will continue in that tone tomorrow," he added.

When asked by journalists if everyone from the coalition is in favor of this arrangement, Radovanić said that they are acting as a coalition in the negotiations.

As he added, they expect the continuation of the talks with a good mood.

Radovanić did not answer the question of whether Miloš Krstović is against the coalition with the DPS.

"This is the first step. I am a representative of GP URA, and Balša Špadijer of PzPG. I would like the media to have a responsible approach, not clickbait," he pointed out.

DPS list holder Nermin Abdić pointed out that they had "a high degree of understanding".

"Four platforms with great overlaps. We have a responsibility towards the citizens who wanted changes. I think there are no insurmountable obstacles between us and today we are one step closer to the formation of the government," said Abdić, adding that he will continue the talks tomorrow.

"There is no difference here. There is no playing with armchairs, but the goal is the interest of Podgorica," added Abdić.

Apart from Boris Mugoša, who was the organizer of the meeting, there were also Biljana Ćulafić from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Aleksandar Ljumović from the Liberal Party (LP) as representatives of the European Union.
