Today's meeting of the parliamentary opposition confirmed a clear and unified position in relation to the constitutional and political crisis, but also on what the way out of the crisis should be, said the vice-president and deputy of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Ivan Vuković.
"This is a very important topic not only for our political subjects but also for Montenegro," Vuković said at the press conference in the Assembly after the meeting.
"After part of the majority parties took over the powers of the Constitutional Court and allowed the elections not to be held in accordance with the existing legislation, we, the representatives of the opposition parties, demand the immediate annulment of the unconstitutional decision of the Constitutional Committee, its invalidation, and the signing of an agreement between the government and the opposition that would guarantee that the changes The Constitution and the law on dual citizenship will not come without absolute consensus.Under two, the renewal of the work of the Committee for Comprehensive Electoral Reform and under three, that representatives of the government and the opposition start working together on closing chapters 23 and 24," said Vuković.
He said that this is how the opposition sees the way out of the political crisis, and said that there is nothing to do without the decision being reversed.
When asked by journalists what the next steps are if the decision is not reversed, Vuković said that they will continue what they did in the previous days at the sessions.
He announced that he will continue the fight in the institutions and outside them.
When asked by journalists what will happen if the budget is not adopted, Vuković said that it is a question for the majority and added that when it comes to national interests, especially EU integration, they have demonstrated a constructive relationship.
He pointed out that "the majority caused the crisis", and that they must find a way to solve it.
He says that currently the only political difference is between "constitutional defenders and constitutional destroyers".

When asked by journalists about the situation in Podgorica, Vuković said that the message sent by the citizens was clear.
"The political entities that make up the Government do not have the legitimacy to manage Podgorica, nor the country," he said.
Vuković called today's announcement by the parties that make up the Government an expression of fear, and that it speaks of the authoritarian character that rules in those parties.
He did not want to comment on allegations that the councilor of the Movement for Podgorica, Miloš Krstović, is not in favor of government with the DPS.

Independent MP Jevrosima Pejović said that, despite their differences, the current situation united around "certain points".

She said that it will be interesting to see if Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandić will punish the head of his party's caucus, Dejan Đurović.
When asked by a journalist whether a coalition with parties from the Government is excluded, when it comes to the local government in Podgorica, Pejović said that she is in favor of dialogue, but that it is not an issue for her, and that "they receive high salaries precisely to conduct dialogue ".
Novaković Đurović: Annulment of the decision of the committee to return to political normality
Member of Parliament Ana Novaković Đurović (URA) said that the essential condition to "return to political normality" is to annul the decision of the Constitutional Committee, which "is partly possible already tomorrow at the session of the Constitutional Court".
"Some of the opposition's demands are found in Barometer 26, and then, a few days after extending a hand to the opposition regarding issues related to EU integration, the Constitution is violated, contrary to everything it declares for. When asked about the negotiations on the formation of the government in Podgorica, she said that they did not negotiate with the majority parties, but with those who showed interest in their platform.
Representatives of the opposition met today in the parliament to discuss the current political situation and developments regarding the Constitutional Court.
The opposition claims that a "constitutional coup" took place in the parliament last week due to the decision that Dragana Đuranović was terminated as a judge in the Constitutional Court.
Because of this, they blocked the sessions of the Assembly, announcing that they would not allow its work until the conclusion of the Constitutional Committee was withdrawn, according to which it was stated that Đuranović had ceased to function because, in accordance with the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance (PIO), she had acquired the condition for a pension.
The authorities, as "Vijesti" announced on Saturday, fear that the opposition can thus prevent the adoption of the budget for the next year and introduce the state into temporary financing.
