Councilors of PES, Democrats and ZBPG: Conscientious colleagues not to participate in the return of DPS

Councilors from the Movement Europe Now, Democrats and the coalition "For the Future of Podgorica" ​​called on "all free, conscientious and morally responsible councilors" in the Assembly of the Capital City not to participate in the creation of a majority which, they say, aims to defeat the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS). and "Đukanović's system" returned to positions of power and decision-making.

The announcement was delivered to the media by the PES, without the signatures of the councilors, entitled "Communication from 27 councilors of the government".

"We are convinced that Podgorica, its citizens, resources and budget, must not fall prey to political and parapolitical hyenas. Citizens have made it clear that they do not want the return to power of subjects and individuals who devastated the country for thirty years, quarreled citizens, kept the EU integration process blocked and Montenegro away from Europe, all for the sake of protecting their criminal partners four and a half billion euros, they shut down the entire Montenegrin industry, destroyed the production sector, created an import-dependent country, fired tens of thousands of workers, and drove a huge number of young people out of our country, because of their kleptomaniac policy and sleazy economy these structures robbed them through unconstitutional fees for 'SIM cards' and cable television, fuel, violated the Constitution dozens of times, unconstitutionally extended their mandates, borrowed billions, and increased salaries and pensions for a couple of euros per year," the announcement reads.

They said that "any coalition with them represents a brutal fraud of the electoral will of the citizens of Podgorica".

"The will of the majority of Podgorica is not for our capital city to be governed by the parties that enabled the development of the Skaljar and Kavak clans, the parties that legitimized the beating of people in the streets, whose party officials call the responsible prosecutors 'sky prosecutors' and at the same time attend the funerals of mafia bosses, nor that the capital is governed by those who took free apartments at the expense of the citizens, while journalists were killed and beaten in the state.Finally, with all the advantages and the shortcomings of the current majority in the capital and the current majority in the country, there is no doubt that today we live in a society with much greater freedom, a better standard and a much better perspective," they add.

Councilors from PES, Democrats and the list "For the future of Podgorica" ​​say that they are convinced that the majority of councilors "will not forget what they said" in the election campaign, "nor what the citizens of our Podgorica expect from them".

"Citizens are already massively expressing dissatisfaction with the announcement of the formation of the government under the auspices of the former regime and will not accept a post-election sale and a return to the past," the announcement reads.
