Salaries and pensions are not threatened due to the failure to vote on the budget, announced the head of the Parliamentary Club of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Andrija Nikolić.
"The parliamentary opposition firmly stands on the point that the duties of the Constitutional Court have been taken over by an arrogant political majority in this chamber. When order collapses, the state collapses," Nikolić pointed out at a press conference in the Parliament, after the Speaker of the Parliament Andrija Mandić concluded today's session, the agenda of which included, among other things, the proposal of the law on the budget of Montenegro for 2025.
Nikolić added that "none of these people are happy to participate in interruptions of the Assembly sessions, but there is no other way to deal with people who trample on laws, on the Constitution, on citizens".
"On one side you have the Association of Lawyers, professional organizations, former judges, and on the other, Twitter users and people who threaten women. The message for the citizens of Montenegro is that we will not back down before the constitutional destroyers, whatever the cost. The attempt to stop political life, to is governed without elections - not a single EU member sees that as a good practice. Yesterday's court decision says that the Constitution has been violated," said Nikolić.
Konatar: It will be paid from temporary financing. It was the same in 2021 when Spajić was a minister
The head of the parliamentary group of the Civic Movement (GP) URA, Miloš Konatar, said at a press conference that the biggest lie is that citizens will stop receiving salaries, pensions, and social benefits due to the failure to pass the budget.

"It will be paid out of temporary funding. The same was the case in 2021 when Spajić was a minister. We are blocked by the parliament because of the decisions of the majority. It could have been easily resolved - for them to cancel that decision and for us to continue the regular work of the parliament. You are like journalists. were attacked by some deputies of the majority. Female deputies were verbally insulted by the deputies of the majority. The violation of the Constitution is a red line that we could not cross synchronized with the story that the payment of salaries and pensions will be stopped, as well as that the projects will be stopped. Which projects? Velje brdo that does not exist?" said Konatar.
Mugoša: If one of us does not like the decisions of the Constitutional Court, should we take over their responsibilities?
The president of the Club of Deputies of the Social Democrats (SD) Boris Mugoša said that the deputies of the majority have assumed the role of the Constitutional Court.

"Yesterday, the president received a notification for one judge, but not for Judge Lopičić. If any of us do not like the decisions of the Constitutional Court, should we take over their responsibilities? Imagine that the Municipal Election Commission (MEC) of Kotor says that they do not like like the court's decision and call for elections or announce the results," Mugoša pointed out.
He added that "it really seems grotesque that Mandic is giving us European lessons".
"Mandić is the leader of this majority, the rest are followers. He brought them a resolution about Jasenovac, changed the logo of the Assembly, ordered them not to advertise for the seventh judge for six months. And they lowered their heads and obeyed, even though an hour before the Assembly they said that they had all the possibilities to hold a session, Mandić concluded. If you go a second time, then they will feel that they are part of the PES-DF coalition good for them, but painful for Montenegrin society," Mugoša said.
Vuksanović: Croatia did not block the closing of the chapter because of Prevlaka, Morinje, the Adriatic, but because of anti-European politics, not to say subservient to Vučić
President and deputy of the Croatian Citizen Initiative (HGI) Adrijan Vuksanović said that other minority parties also came out with a statement that what happened at the Constitutional Committee was unconstitutional.
"We see the overall disintegration of society in Montenegro. The greatest credit goes to the creators of those processes. We heard from Mandić that Croatia blocked the closing of the chapter because of the Prevlaka and the Adriatic, and that problem existed even before 2020. However, the partnership policy then led to that open questions are not problems," said Vuksanović.
Vuksanović added that "Croatia did not block the closing of the chapter because of Prevlaka, Morinje, the Adriatic, but because of anti-European policy, not to mention subservient towards Vučić (Serbian President Aleksandar)." The parliamentary majority succeeded in something that was not possible until now - to unite the opposition and to im that on intensity on cohesion. We will continue the struggle institutionally and extra-institutionally," Vuksanović said.
Mugoša: Due to their responsibility, the state will be temporarily financed
When asked by journalists whether the session was concluded or interrupted, and what the next procedure was, Mugoša said that their agreement was probably to end it, but that the "leader of the parliamentary majority" had decided, and that the Assembly could work until December 31. in regular session.

"Because of their responsibility, the state will be temporarily financed," Mugoša said.
He stated that Mandić can schedule a session until the end of the year.
Nikolić: Everything was done in a targeted manner towards the end of the year, when diplomats are on vacation and the public's focus is on other things.
When asked if there will be protests, Nikolić said that we are witnessing a political caricature because Prime Minister Milojko Spajić sends the head of the National Security Agency (ANB) off with hearts, and brags that he "coddles certain MPs".
"I think that, from election to election, it will receive less and less support. Everything was done targeted towards the end of the year, when diplomats are on vacation, and the public's focus is on other things. All red lines have been crossed. We will be in the institutions and outside them." Nikolic said.

He added that the Constitutional Court is treated as the fourth branch of government.
"If you remove it, you don't have a corrective factor that can restrain you," said Nikolić.
When asked about the formation of the government in Podgorica, Nikolić said that as the opposition, they received a message from the citizens that the government should be replaced.
"It would be unnatural for those who were opposing the authorities to form a government with them. We were distant in relation to the statements. They threatened violence if they threatened the will on August 30. It's as if history begins then," said Nikolić.
Konatar: If someone changed his attitude overnight because of his functions, then he will bear the consequences
Konatar said that above all, the citizens of Podgorica voted for changes.
"I will quote the president of the country and agree with him - 'the current majority is anti-constitutional, anti-European and anti-Montenegro'. If someone changed their position overnight because of their position, if someone thinks that it is no longer like that, then they will bear the consequences. I think that the public officials should not be intimidated by internet trolls, bots and MPs protesting in front of their premises," Konatar said.
He said that they went to the elections to change the bad government.
"If someone can go to the polls to change that, and then form a government with them, then that confirms what a part of the citizens think is the political scene is hypocritical and corrupt. I don't want to believe that," Konatar said.
He did not answer whether he regrets that GP URA did not participate in the elections in Podgorica on September 29.
Mugoša: It's bad when politics shapes you in a corrupt way
Mugoša said that it is bad when politics shapes you in a corrupt way.
"I am proud of the European Union campaign, for which I can say that we did not soil ourselves. In the post-election period, we preserved the dignity of the people who voted for us. That is why we wanted to gather in one place those subjects who are not satisfied with the work of the government and who were called anti- government coalition," Mugoša said.
He said that he was not interested in looting.
"If the essence is the table with the division of functions, then it leads to the value and institutional regression of Podgorica. I never play on the wrong side, and those who do must know that it has a short shelf life," said Mugoša.
When asked why the president of the special club of deputies did not come to the session and press conference, Nikolić said that it was a matter for her.
