The President of the Party of European Progress, Duško Marković, said that for them the epilogue of the negotiations on the formation of the government in Podgorica was not a surprise, and announced that the pro-European and pro-Montenegrin forces will replace this government when they have a majority in some of the next elections.
"We were very reserved when the idea was raised in recent months that it is possible to form a new government through a coalition with part of the anti-European and anti-Montenegrin group. Neither in Podgorica, nor at the state level, that can happen because there are two value systems that have no points of contact. Pro-European and pro-Montenegrin forces will replace this government when they have a clear majority in the electorate in some of the next elections," said Marković in a post on the X social network.
We remind you that the Movement for Podgorica, close to the head of state Jakov Milatović, a week ago was allegedly closer to forming a government in the capital with the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and the rest of the opposition, but last night he still reached an agreement with the coalitions PES-Democrats and For the Future Podgorica.
"With its principled policy, SEP will continue to contribute even more strongly to the strengthening of those forces that consistently advocate for Montenegro's membership in the EU, for respect for our Constitution and for the uncompromising protection of state and national interests," concluded Marković.
