Saša Ječmenica, a former DPS councilor who now acts as an independent councilor in the Pljevlja Municipality Assembly, proposed an unusual amendment to the Pljevlja Municipality budget yesterday.
He requested that the money in the amount of 1,27 million euros, which is intended in the budget for the payment of child allowances, be given to the couple Lekić (Milan and Gordana) to withdraw from the public life of Montenegro.
Milan Lekić is the former president of the Board of Directors of Rudnik Uglja, and his wife Gordana is the director of the municipal company Čistoća.
"We can call this amendment of mine - for the future of our children in Pljevlje and I ask you, dear children, to give up one year of child allowance of 1,27 million euros, and to give these funds to the Lekić couple, against whom the legal system of Montenegro and the judicial authorities obviously do not have an adequate solution. It is necessary to obtain the consent of this married couple and transfer budget funds to them. We can do this in 12 equal tranches or determine the funds to compensate the damage that this married couple, performing public functions, caused to the companies operating in the territory of the municipality of Pljevlja. So that Rudnik Uglja, DOO Čistoća, Vodovod and most likely the municipality of Pljevlja are compensated. "Dear children of Pljevlja, here are ten things that should be compensated from your child allowances and I think you should give them up because this is good for your future," said Ječmenica, explaining the amendment.
Member of the Movement for Pljevlja Božidar Bajić called Ječmenica's procedure shameful.
"To read this kind of content in front of the citizens of Pljevlja, regardless of who it refers to, is shameful. There are competent institutions and everyone has the right to file a complaint against anyone. This is a humiliation of the assembly, councilors and most of all the one who wrote all this," said Bajić.
