Ervin Ibrahimović, Minister of Foreign Affairs and leader of the Bosniak Party, strongly condemned the congratulatory message that the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić, sent to the leadership of the Republika Srpska (RS) on January 9, which is celebrated in that entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina as RS Day, even though was repeatedly declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The congratulations of the highest state officials of Montenegro, and thus the President of the Assembly, sent on the occasion of the holiday that was declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court of our neighboring and friendly Bosnia and Herzegovina, represent a gross violation of the bilateral and good-neighborly relations of the two countries, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the leader of Bosnia party Ervin Ibrahimović.
"Respect for the sovereignty and integrity of internationally recognized states and the decisions of their bodies is the basis of good bilateral relations, and the tendency to disrupt those relations is not in the interest of Montenegro, its international position and European integration.
In this sense, I strongly condemn, like the majority of Montenegro, the congratulations sent by the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, and on the occasion of the holiday that was declared unconstitutional in Bosnia and Herzegovina, wondering who our next international friend and partner is next in line for damaging relations and with whom attachment," Ibrahimović wrote on Iks.
