Independent councilor in the Cetinje parliament, Stefan Vuletić, called on the mayor of the capital, Nikola Đurašković, to form a majority in which there will be no representatives of the Democrats.
He did this after the councilors of the party led by Aleksa Bečić did not vote for the conclusions adopted by the Capital Assembly at today's session regarding the tragedy that happened in Cetinje, which were proposed by the councilor clubs of the parties that participate in the local parliament.
As he stated in the announcement, the behavior and political hypocrisy of the Democratic councilors in the Cetinje parliament in the days "when all the citizens of Cetinje somehow hold on and grieve" is disgusting, but also that "bypassing the vote while attending the session is extremely immoral".
"Everything is clear, like the police incompetence and lack of manners of Minister Šaranović, now it is only clear that the Democratic councilors must not have their public position against the central office, Boris Bogdanović and I repeat the most uncultured minister we have had, Danilo Šaranović," Vuletić pointed out.
According to him, it is incredible and incomprehensible that "party politics and internal relations of the party are more important these days than the unity of the people of Cetinje and the unity around the decisions made in the local parliament".
"After such a procedure, we must no longer leave it to chance and look through their fingers for this kind of behavior, so I call on Mayor Đurašković to do what is necessary, to meet all of us and form a new majority in the capital, in which personal interests will not be looked at, but the termination of all cooperation with the Democrats from Cetinje," he concludes.
Vuletić entered the Prijestonica Assembly from the list of the Democratic Party of Socialists, but last year he left that party with three other colleagues and formed the club of councilors "For the European Capital".
The Assembly of the Capital City of Cetinje today adopted nine conclusions which, among other things, demand the resignation or dismissal of the entire leadership of the security sector (coordinator of the Bureau for Operational Coordination of Intelligence and Security Sector Authorities, Minister of Internal Affairs, Director of the Police Directorate) as an act of assuming objective and professional responsibility , in order to confirm the existence of institutional readiness and will to approach serious and essential reforms in the security sector.
It also requires the competent state institutions to conduct an independent international investigation and forensics (reconstruction of events) with the aim of determining personal responsibility and concrete failures in the work of the security sector within 90 days from the date of reaching the conclusions.
The conclusions were adopted with 27 votes, while three councilors present did not vote. Three local parliamentarians did not attend the meeting.
The initial result of the vote was 23 councilors in favor and one against, but it was later determined to be a technical error.
