The vice-president of the Municipality of Budva and the leader of the civic list "Budva our city" Nikola Jovanović said that they had previously made decisions with the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), such as the budget.
This is what Jovanović said during the break of the session, answering the question whether it is disputed that the proposal that the head of the Budva parliament be the holder of the list of the European Union, Petar Odžić, has received the support of the opposition DPS until now.
"We will support Mr. Odžić because his political entity has been our partner since 2017. He did an exceptional job as secretary of finance, we managed to return 54 million euros of debt. His political entity, together with the URA, always responded to the negotiations regarding the formation of the government," he said. is Jovanovic.
When asked if he betrayed the voters because he will elect Odžić with the support of the DPS, Jovanović said that he does not know if he will elect Odžić because there are unidentified persons in the hall, who are "creating a circus" and preventing the holding of the session.
"We will ask for the support of the councilors for all personnel solutions that we send to Slupština. Who will support us is not a question for us but for other political entities. We do not divide councilors into first and second-order councilors. I believe that the responsibility for everything after the second election lies with cycle to support us. We expect the support of all councilors", Jovanović said.
Jovanović does not see anything controversial that Odžić will be elected with the support of DPS, because previously with that party they voted on the budget, temporary financing, investment plan.
