The leader of the "For the Future of Budva" coalition, Mladen Mikijelj, said today that he will not allow the citizens' electoral will to be altered.
He reiterated that Savo Medigović, who as the oldest councilor presides over today's session of the Municipal Assembly (SO) of Budva resigned, because, as he said, "he did not want to participate in this disgrace of voting for Petar Odžić and returning DPS to the back door".
"After they saw that Mr. Rađenović was taking his place, he decided to return the submitted resignation. The parliamentary service did not do what is their primary obligation, to immediately forward the act that was sent to the Municipal Election Commission for decision, which violated the procedure. We ask that Mr. Medigović, given that he has submitted his resignation, vacate the post of chairman, that in accordance with the regulations, Krsto Rađenović will take that place and that we continue the session," Mikijelj told reporters in halls of the SO Budva.
He points out that through the parliamentary debate, he will present to the citizens what they think about the initiative of the European Union, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and the group "Budva naš grad" that Petar Odžić from the European Union be elected president of the Budva Municipal Council.
Mikijelj said that the group "Budva naš grad" led by Nikola Jovanović announced in the election campaign that they will not be with the DPS at any price.
"Now they want to deceive the citizens of Budva and the citizens of Montenegro. Good luck with the DPS, but you will have to do it in accordance with the regulations, and not on the basis of the fraud they set out to create. We will defend the electoral will of the citizens of Budva. That 2020 was one Stevan Džaković. Together with these people, we defended the will of the citizens of Budva. If they want to go the way of Stevan Džaković, good luck to them, but they will have to do it in accordance with the procedures," said Mikijelj.
He says that you can't get votes on the story that you won't go with the DPS, and then form the government with them.
The continuation of the session of the Municipal Assembly (SO) of Budva, scheduled for 19:40, is practically impossible, because sympathizers of the coalitions "For the Future of Budva" and Democrats-Movement Europe now entered the hall and took council seats.
Sympathizers of those coalitions entered the Budva parliament hall.
On the other hand, sympathizers of the "Budva our city" coalition are gathering in the office of the President of the Municipality of Budva on the first floor of the building.
The atmosphere is extremely electrified, and there are only a few security guards in the building.
Earlier, at the entrance to the Budva City Hall, there was almost a physical confrontation between the holder of the list "For the future of Budva" Mladen Mikijelj and the holder of the list "Budva our city" Nikola Jovanović.
There was no physical confrontation because security responded.
This happened after councilors and supporters of the coalition "For the Future of Budva", Democratic Montenegro and PES entered the hall of the Council of Ministers after a five-minute push with security.
These three political groups and their sympathizers do not allow the Budva Council session to take place because the chairman of today's session and the oldest member of the council, Savo Medigović, who was elected from the "Budva our city" list, submitted his resignation, which he withdrew after 20 minutes.
They say that Medigović can no longer preside over the SO Budva, but that it belongs to Krsto Rađenović from the Socialist People's Party (SNP).
It is expected that if there is a session of the Budva Council of Ministers, Petar Odžić from the European Union will be proposed as the head of the local parliament.
As told to Vijesti, the proposal for Odžić to be the head of the parliament was signed by the councilors of "Budva naš grad", the European Union and the URA, which number 12 councilors.
In order for it to be voted, they must receive the support of, most likely, seven councilors of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
