The Police Directorate (UP) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) do not react to terrorism in the municipality of Budva, announced today Nikola Jovanović, vice-president of the Municipality of Budva and holder of the "Budva our city" list.
"Forcible invasion of the hall of the Budva Municipal Assembly organized by NSD (New Serbian Democracy) Budva has the full logistics of Democratic Montenegro, which manages the department of the Police Administration and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Unidentified persons with hoods, including well-known lawbreakers, broke into main door and fire entrance," Jovanović pointed out in the announcement.
He added that despite the criminal complaint submitted to the Security Department, there is still no reaction, although, as he said, a large number of unidentified persons are in the Assembly hall and are obstructing the session so that it cannot continue.
"Preventing the work of the local parliament and the constitutive session prevents the establishment of the work of a representative body and is a classic act of terrorism in an organized manner. The presence of State Secretary MUP Kažanegre-Stanišić, who is a member of the council and who invited people to enter the hall is clear evidence that behind this attack on the local assembly is under political dictates. The presence of persons of security interest in the Assembly hall as well as in the immediate vicinity of the Municipal building no longer holds the municipality in a hostage situation until the competent state authorities react and do not prevent further escalation of violence," said Jovanović.
He said that everything that happens in the coming hours and days in this situation is the direct responsibility of the Minister of the Interior Danilo Saranović, the Director of the Police Administration (UP) Lazar Šćepanović, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister for Security, Defense, Fighting Crime and Internal Policy Alekse Bečić and the President of the Assembly Andrija Mandić.
The continuation of the session of the Municipal Assembly (SO) of Budva, scheduled for 19:40, is practically impossible, because in the hall there are sympathizers of the coalition "For the Future of Budva" and the Democrats-Mokret Evropa Sad (PES) who have taken council seats.
About 50 sympathizers of those coalitions entered the Budva parliament hall.
On the other hand, sympathizers of the "Budva our city" coalition are gathering in the office of the President of the Municipality of Budva on the first floor of the building.
The atmosphere is extremely electrified, and there are only a few security guards in the building.
The session does not start, no one turns to say why it is late and whether there will be a continuation of the session at all.
The Security Service of the Municipality of Budva, as told to the News, submitted criminal charges to the Budva police for unauthorized entry of persons into the assembly hall, disturbance of public order and peace, and against councilors who called for rebellion.
The news was also told by the Security Service that they called the Budva police on several occasions, warning of the possibility of excesses.
Earlier, at the entrance to the Budva City Hall, there was almost a physical confrontation between the holder of the list "For the future of Budva" Mladen Mikijelj and the holder of the list "Budva our city" Nikola Jovanović.
There was no physical confrontation because security responded.
This happened after councilors and supporters of the coalition "For the Future of Budva", Democratic Montenegro and PES entered the hall of the Council of Ministers after a five-minute push with security.
These three political groups and their sympathizers do not allow the Budva Council session to take place because the chairman of today's session and the oldest member of the council, Savo Medigović, who was elected from the "Budva our city" list, submitted his resignation, which he withdrew after 20 minutes.
They say that Medigović can no longer preside over the SO Budva, but that it belongs to Krsto Rađenović from the Socialist People's Party (SNP).
It is expected that if there is a session of the Budva Council of Ministers, Petar Odžić from the European Union will be proposed as the head of the local parliament.
As told to Vijesti, the proposal for Odžić to be the head of the parliament was signed by the councilors of "Budva naš grad", the European Union and the URA, which number 12 councilors.
In order for it to be voted, they must receive the support of, most likely, seven councilors of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
