"The destruction that the opposition has been doing in the state parliament for a long time, by causing chaos in the work of parliamentary committees, by preventing the voting of the budget, and other important legal acts and reports, creates a very dangerous atmosphere and affects all kinds of insecurity," said PES.
Therefore, they point out from this political party, all political and social actors who point to the chaos in Budva must at the same time review the behavior of the opposition at the state level and ask themselves whether precisely such actions and similar examples contribute to the introduction of a very dangerous trend of blocking the work of legislative bodies throughout the country. of the state.
"We stand for the unhindered continuation of work in the Budva parliament, regardless of the revolt of Budva citizens due to the announcement of the formation of an unprincipled majority, where a couple of DPS functions and the opposition from the state level will enter into a coalition with the political option supported by Milo Božović and with the ideology that they have qualified as anti-European and anti-state yesterday," the PES press release states.
This party also called on the competent authorities and the prosecutor's office to verify all allegations and investigate the possible involvement of security-sensitive persons in the unpleasant events in Budva, and to prosecute without selectivity all those who threaten to undermine the democratic, constitutional and legal order.
"Therefore, we will insist that the principle of respect for prescribed rules, laws and smooth functioning also applies to the scheduled Assembly of Montenegro, where MPs will consider the adoption of the budget and other important legal proposals and reports", they conclude from PES.
