"Gentlemen from PES, directly responsible for last night's events (in Budva) are your Prime Minister, Minister Šaranović and their privatized Police Directorate (UP)," said SDP vice-president and representative of the European Union Amina Cikotić.
She reacted to the statement of the Europe Now Movement (PES) in which it is said that all political and social actors who point to the chaos in Budva must at the same time review the behavior of the opposition at the state level and ask themselves whether precisely such actions and similar examples contribute to the introduction of of a very dangerous trend of blocking the work of legislative bodies throughout the country.

"Gentlemen from the Europe Movement now, you do not stand for anything, you just listen to Mandić. That is your only function. If you had any sense, you would not think of comparing the reaction of the opposition after the constitutional coup that you carried out and the criminal occupation buildings of SO Budva", wrote Cikotić on the social network Iks.

Đuričković: PES should be reconsidered while in power, councilors in the Budva Municipal Assembly are being forcibly prevented from voting at their own discretion
The representative of the European Union and the international secretary of the Social Democrats (SD), Miloš Đuričković, told the Europe Now Movement (PES) to reconsider while he is in power, because, as he said, the events in Budva continue to deal with citizens on all fronts.
"In the case of the Parliament of Montenegro, you violated the Constitution and took over the powers of the Constitutional Court. And no, no session will be held until you learn to respect the Constitution of Montenegro," Đuričković said in a statement, referring to the situation in the state parliament.
He also referred to the current events in the Municipal Assembly (SO) of Budva.
"In the case of the Budva Municipal Assembly, by means of violence, with the cooperation of criminals and the logistical help of the State Secretary of the Interior Ministry and the Police Directorate, you are preventing the councilors from voting at their own discretion. You are also preventing the will of the citizens of Budva, and it is clear: you, the Democrats and Mandić , you will not be the government in Budva," Đuričković stated.
Đuričković adds that representatives of the state government continue to deal with citizens.
"You continue to deal with citizens on almost all fronts, and that, gentlemen, always ends badly. You will be replaced at the local and state level, and then you will have to pay for the guild you created yourself. It is already too big," Đuričković said.
He finally calls on the Europe Now Movement to reconsider while they are still in power.
"It's time for you to reconsider while you're in power. Power doesn't last forever, and you have to live even after stepping down from power," said Đuričković.
Čelanović: PES once again showed that it is an impersonal political group whose role is to cover all the wrongdoings of the DF and the Democrats
The General Secretary of the SD and the representative of the European Union, Miloš Čelanović, commented on the statement of the Europe Now Movement, in which, as he stated, they tried to identify the actions of the opposition in the Montenegrin parliament and the actions of the combined forces of the DF, Democrats, PES, MUP councilors and persons of security interest in SO Budva.
"Why is PES's statement embarrassing to say the least!? By trying to equate the actions of the opposition in the Parliament with the actions of the combined forces of DF councilors, Democrats, PES, the MUP of Montenegro and persons of security interest, PES has once again shown that it is an impersonal political group whose role is to cover all the wrongdoings of the DF and Democrats, and all under the guise of 450 > 250," Čelanović pointed out.
He stated the reasons why these two situations cannot be equated.
"The following facts show that the actions of the opposition in the state Parliament and the above-mentioned group are not and will never be the same:
1. In the state parliament, the opposition's actions came as a reaction to the constitutional coup, that is, after the ruling political parties, including the PES, decided to suspend the Constitutional Court and make decisions themselves instead of this institution;
2. In the state Parliament, only deputies act to whom it belongs, because in the plenary hall there is a place for deputies, while in the hall of the local parliament of Budva there were the fewest councilors;
3. While the criminals ransacked the Budva Parliament building, there was no police in sight (neither Cyrillic nor Latin), although yesterday there were over 20 reports on the same case;
4. Budva is a classic example of autocracy, lawlessness and arrogance! And, unfortunately, it is not the first example that the ruling group tries to disable the local parliament with the help of criminal structures;
5. Budva is an indicator of how you, gentlemen from PES, together with the now traditional coalition partners from DF and the Democrats, envision elections and a change of government. Namely, we have elections, so if we lose, we will blackmail someone. If that doesn't work either, we'll block the assembly, the city, we'll do whatever it takes (below the lowest limit of human dignity) just to stay in power a little longer;
6. And finally, but no less important difference: in the plenary hall of the state parliament, you could not smell the smell of barbecue and pork chops," wrote Čelanović.
