The holder of the "Budva our city" list, Nikola Jovanović, decided to be a puppet in the hands of the drug clan until the end and bring proven fighters against the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) to the head of the local parliament, said the Coalition for the Future of Montenegro (ZBCG).
ZBCG stated that yesterday's events in the Municipal Assembly (SO) of Budva exposed all political subjects to the bone.
"As well as the hypocrisy of Nikola Jovanović, who in front of the entire Montenegrin public confirmed our earlier views that he had agreed on a coalition with the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS)," says the ZBCG announcement.
They said that they warned Jovanović not to do that and that the people of Budva and honest citizens of Montenegro will "point the finger at him like Stevan Džaković".
"Despite well-intentioned warnings, pressured by the criminal drug structures that finance him, Jovanović decided to be a human and political puppet in the hands of the drug clan until the end and bring to the head of SO Budva those who are proven fighters against the SPC", the announcement states.
The ZBCG said that after that, various other municipal functions would be given to those who, as they said, at the congresses wanted to rob temples and build party churches.
"We believe that the mass and indignant reaction of the citizens of Budva due to Jovanovic's betrayal is just the beginning of democratic resistance to a drug octopus that has amused the whole world with its misery, and that threatens to drown Budva with its tentacles," ZBCG added.
They assessed that, by announcing a coalition with the DPS, Jovanović dealt the strongest blow to Milo Božović's defense and provided the greatest support to the prosecution's efforts to prove the actions he is charged with.
"Thus, Jovanović, who all the time refers to Božović, and that he did not make any decision without his consent, last night in the most brutal way managed to destroy the key argument of the defense and thus strengthen and confirm the accusations of the prosecution, because no one in Montenegro is so naive that he does not see who is forming the government in Budva in this way", the announcement states.
The ZBCG said that Jovanović had obviously chosen to be in the company of the former regime, together with his friend.
"That is, those for whose interests Radoje Zvicer, Zoran Lazović, Ljubo Milović, Veljko Belivuk, Marko Miljković, and numerous others like them worked," added the ZBCG.
They believe that the government, which would be formed with the logistics of Zwitzer and his associates from Budva who are still at large, would be unsustainable and impossible, and would obviously end up with new detentions and indictments.
The ZBCG called on the Supreme and Special State Prosecutor's Offices to launch an investigation, in accordance with their jurisdiction, against organized drug groups that, as they said, are forcibly and illegitimately trying to form government in that city, contrary to the electoral will of the citizens of Budva, in violation of all legal procedures.
"We have no problem that it starts with us, because our hands are clean, and we no longer intend to be called "criminals" by proven and confirmed criminals," the ZBCG stated.
