The hatred of criminals and the structure of the former regime towards Democratic Montenegro is no longer hidden at all, but is openly propagated, which is a sign of the obvious panic that reigns in the criminal ranks, the Democratic Montenegro Parliamentary Group announced today.
"The text published on the 'Libertas press' portal not only confirms everything we have been pointing out for years, but also exposes the astonishing level of brutality with which criminal smugglers, together with criminals in the police, and all with the support of the former regime, have waged a showdown with the opposition and honest citizens of Montenegro," the Democratic Parliamentary Group said in a statement.
The "Libertas Press" portal announced yesterday that in August 2020, Aleksandar-Aco Mrkić arranged with the head of the criminal police in Bar, Ilija Vasović, to arrest the wife of his five-time godfather Milivoj-Šuj Pipović, Svetlana Pipović, and her brother, Savo Vujošević.

"In August 2020, Aleksandar-Aco Mrkić, in consultation with the head of the criminal police in Bar, Ilija Vasović, arranged the arrest of the wife of his five-time godfather Milivoj-Šuj Pipović, Svetlana Pipović, and her brother, Savo Vujošević, who was a Demos candidate on our joint electoral list 'Peace is our nation'. In those days, Mrkić insisted that Vasović push the prosecutor, a certain Raš, to issue an arrest warrant, and at the same time advised that police officer on how to 'inflate' the news and place it in the media," the Democrats' Club of Deputies said.
They added that by organizing such fabricated cases, they were trying not only to discredit people, electoral lists, and political organizations, but also to cause panic, divide the people, and bring society to the brink of chaos, all in order to preserve their criminal businesses and protect themselves from justice.
"It is particularly worrying that the transcripts of the conversations clearly show that the smugglers and criminals were obviously directly connected to state institutions, including the police and the prosecution. This connection between organized crime and the state proves that the structures of the former regime were ready to abuse every resource in order to preserve their positions and interests. Thus, planting DNA on these structures was apparently a common thing when it came to dealing with political opponents," said the Democratic Party of Serbia.
They stated that quotes from correspondence, such as Aleksandar Mrkić's message to police officer Vasović: "Take it up a notch. In a couple of episodes. If you have a good link. Let them insert that slogan from Bečić for Peace and Stability. Article below the article. Bečić and Lekić for peace. And weapons below. And then BOOM. When the deputies of the Democrats for Stability and Peace are armed with bulletproof vests with ammunition of great destructive power," clearly show that they were ready to mercilessly play with people's lives, manipulate the media and provoke social conflicts and divisions.
"This communication reveals that the actors of the former regime went so far as to, without batting an eye, manipulate information to create the impression that the opposition was a threat to peace and stability. They were even, according to their own words, ready to bring the country to the brink of conflict with their lies, all in order to preserve their criminal interests and avoid being handcuffed. It is even more devastating that even today, through supposedly independent analysts, columnists and the media, they are trying to label the Democrats as a "dangerous" organization, as well as some other shameful epithets," said the Democratic Caucus.
The statement also states that it is clear "that this is an extended arm of the former regime, which continues to spread lies and propaganda, unable to accept that their criminal days are numbered and are becoming a thing of the past."
They said that their fight for justice and truth would continue, and that this truth, like many others, had to come to light.
"Dear citizens of Montenegro, everything indicates that these are extremely important moments, perhaps the most important since 2020, because the criminal gang has been cornered. The reforms being implemented in the security sector are the biggest threat to the remnants of the criminal octopus that is still alive and, in an effort to survive, is grasping at the last straw, which is instability, hatred and division. That is why we need you in this fight, so that with your support we can once and for all end organized crime in Montenegro and finally embark on the path of prosperity and justice," said the Democratic Club of Deputies.
