Amina Cikotić, representative of the European Union and vice president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), today told the Bosniak Party (BS) to stick to the Speaker of the Parliament and leader of the New Serbian Democracy, Andrija Mandić, and to remain silent because "no one has been asking them anything for a long time."
She was reacting to MP and BS Vice President Jasmin Ćorović's statement that he welcomed the proposal by European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos to involve the Venice Commission in resolving the constitutional crisis in Montenegro, and that he called on colleagues from the government and opposition to accept the proposal.
"Colleague Ćorović, I know it's hard for you to believe that someone, unlike you, has a firm position, from which they do not deviate under any circumstances. If the Constitution has been violated, as you yourself claim, the only principled thing to do is to demand that the unconstitutional decision be annulled. Since it is impossible to expect principle from you, stick to Andrija Mandić and keep quiet, no one has asked you anything for a long time," Cikotić pointed out on the social network X.
Vijesti announced today that the Prime Minister and the Europe Now Movement (PES) Milojko Spajić and the leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Danijel Živković met yesterday in Podgorica with the Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Montenegro, Johann Sattler, who proposed to them that the Venice Commission (VC) be involved in resolving the political crisis resulting from the events regarding the Constitutional Court, that is, to examine the decisions that led to the termination of Dragana Đuranović's judicial function.
