The session of the Parliament of Montenegro will not continue today after opposition MPs blocked its work.

The President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić, opened the parliamentary session at around 12.20:XNUMX p.m., after which the opposition MPs stood up.

"Dear citizens, you see the conditions under which we are working, and we should be discussing an important matter. The authority of the parliament is being questioned," said Mandić.

The opposition said that he "could resolve the situation" in five minutes.

Mandić imposed a measure on the opposition MPs who were not in their seats, which he will inform them of in writing.

He took a break, and will inform the deputies about the continuation later.

In front of the chairman's table were representatives of the DPS, Social Democrats, Civic Movement URA, and Croatian Civic Initiative.

DPS MP Sonja Milatovic said "the majority is destroying the state."

Mandić replied to her "that the majority does not destroy the state."

There was also a heated argument between MPs from the Europe Now Movement (PES) and the opposition.

Most MPs left the chamber, with opposition MPs doing so after 13 p.m.
