New Serbian Democracy MP Velimir Đoković said that even today, the normal work of the Parliament, whose agenda included the Budget Law, has not been enabled, even though in previous days they have appealed to their colleagues from the opposition to participate and make their contribution so that the budget can be adopted as soon as possible.
"You saw that today, as in previous days, there was no goodwill among my colleagues from the opposition. I would like to highlight a few facts. I must inform the public that by not adopting the budget, over 80.000 pensioners will not be able to receive increased January pensions. There will not be enough money for social benefits, benefits for mothers with three or more children...", said Djokovic.
Opposition MPs continued to block the work of the Parliament today, causing Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandić to call a recess and issue them warnings.
He added that, as Finance Minister Novica Vuković said, a portion of the loan obligations will be due in the first quarter of this year.
"After everything you could hear at the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget, it is clear that citizens are suffering."
Djokovic did not want to answer "Vijesti"'s question about whether the session would continue today.
