The opposition has prevented the sessions from being held. Until the decision of the Constitutional Committee is annulled, there will be no sessions. This is the opposition's unique demand, said Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) MP Danijel Živković.
He pointed out that they are persistent in their demands.
"If the government wanted to return to the previous state, it could do so in three minutes - to convene a session and annul the decision. However, they do not want that, but rather want to interpret that the opposition is allegedly anti-European," said Živković, adding that they have no problem with the government addressing the Venice Commission.
"The narrative that the opposition is obstructing the Budget is not true. If they want to adopt the Budget, they have the ability to remove the opposition. Just like we had in 2021, the story that the situation was normal when we had temporary funding. I will not talk about other situations because this is a permanently caused constitutional crisis by the Prime Minister and the Speaker of Parliament."
Živković said that, as far as he understood Mandić, the session was over for today.
When asked by reporters what if the opposition was not allowed to enter the hall, Živković said that he would have an answer for that as well.
