Czech President Petr Pavel, as part of his visit to Montenegro, also visited Cetinje, where he visited the Faculty of Montenegrin Language and Literature (FCJK), the King Nikola Museum, and lit a candle in memory of the victims of the January 1 tragedy, in which 13 people were killed.
At FCJK, he became acquainted with projects in the field of public diplomacy, a segment of cooperation between the Embassy of the Czech Republic and that faculty.
"There was talk of a course in studying the Czech language and culture, which will be implemented from the end of February both at the FCJK and for students of the Faculty of Political Sciences (FPN) and the Faculty of Philology in Nikšić. This course was preceded by a pilot course held last year," the Czech Embassy said in a statement, as reported by the PR Center.
Dean of FCJK Aleksandar Radoman also introduced Pavel to the Vaclav Havel corner, where publications and material from Havel's life and work are on display, and the President of the Czech Republic signed the guest book.
"After visiting the FCJK, President Pavel visited the King Nikola Museum, where director Vukan Ražnatović spoke about the ties between Montenegro and the Czech Republic throughout history," the statement added.
After visiting the museum, Pavel, together with his wife and Czech Ambassador to Montenegro Janina Hrebickova, lit a candle in memory of the victims of the tragedy in Cetinje, which occurred on January 1st.
He will open the Second Czech-Montenegrin Business Forum with the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović.
It is recalled that last year, during the visit of Czech Minister of Transport Martin Kupka, the first Czech-Montenegrin business forum was opened.
Pavel will also visit the Atlantic Alliance of Montenegro, and on the second day, the Government Security and Operations Center G SOC.
Tomorrow, a meeting and lunch will be held at Villa Gorica between President Pavel and Deputy Prime Minister Filip Ivanović.
