The president of the Budva branch of the Civic Movement URA, Blažo Radjenović, said that he expects the Minister of Public Administration Maraš Dukaj to act correctly and according to the law, even if it "costs him his seat".
He said that Dukaj is "one of those people in whose integrity and consistency" he trusts.
"That is why I am extremely surprised that the decision he made is completely ignored by Prime Minister Spajić and other members of the Government," said Radjenović, speaking about the proposal of the Ministry of Public Administration, sent to the Government, to convene a session of the Budva Municipal Assembly for January 23.
Radjenovic assessed that the ruling majority "in its destructive actions is destroying every institution." "So it's the turn of the Ministry of Public Administration, through which they want to undermine the functionality of all local governments in Montenegro and govern contrary to the election results."
He said that he expects Dukaj to "show his authority and independence in managing such an important ministry" or to publicly announce that Spajić and the Speaker of the Parliament Andrija Mandić "ignore his decision and want to blockade Budva."
"Minister Dukaj, there are many who have allowed Spajić and Mandić to treat them as if they were their puppets, which is why we can already talk today about the unforeseeable consequences that have befallen Montenegro. I expect you to show that even in these circumstances it is possible to do things differently, correctly and legally, even if it costs you your job," said Radjenović.
