It is clear to everyone that the enlargement process is alive again and the question now is how to use the window of opportunity that has opened, said the European Union (EU) Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajčák.
Spajić's office announced that Prime Minister Milojko Spajić met with Lajčak on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

"Lajčak congratulated Montenegro on the closure of three negotiation chapters, and the main topic of the conversation was further steps on Montenegro's European path. The EU Special Envoy emphasized that it is clear to everyone that the enlargement process is alive again and that the question now is how to use the window of opportunity that has opened," the statement said.
Spajić's office added that they "discussed in detail the current political situation in Montenegro and how important stability is in order to deliver results from the ambitious EU agenda."
"The need for the Parliament to monitor the Government's work on the integration process was highlighted, so that all chapters could be closed by 2026. It was concluded that Montenegro must remain fully focused on European integration," reads a statement from Spajić's cabinet.
