The European Union assessed that the Democrats "underestimate the intelligence" of the citizens of Montenegro.
They accused that party of being "an offshoot of the Skaljar clan, which bought votes for them."
"So, in their desperate statement that did not deny any of our claims, they are trying to attribute to the Social Democrats and the European Union a connection with people with whom we have never had any connection at all. While there is not a single piece of evidence for their lies, our claim that the Democrats are nothing more than an outpost of the Skaljar clan is supported by the transcripts of the SKY application that they refer to so much. In those transcripts, you will not read that anyone bought votes for the Social Democrats or the European Union, nor that they financed us, but you will certainly read the correspondence between Vladan Radoman and Jovica Vukotić in which they agree to buy votes for the Democrats. That's all," the statement reads.
They say that the Democrats did not provide information about "who they blamed for the enormous fuel consumption."
"They have not provided the public with information about who the person they blamed for the enormous fuel consumption is, but if they do not do so, we will publish that information. For example, we will inform the public about an interesting fact - that during her stay outside Podgorica, the driver used to take Zdenka Popović back to her house to walk the dog, after which he would take her back to, say, Bar or Kolašin, where she was staying," the European Union announced.
They also said that the Democrats "are not being attacked because of any personal characteristics or affiliations of their officials," but because they "devour the state treasury and bankrupt the once most successful companies."
"However, Zdenka is petty to the Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović, who, in addition to his family, takes at least 4 military police officers to fashionable European ski resorts where accommodation costs alone are counted in thousands of euros, at the expense of citizens. For the needs of the minister's arrogance, about 10.000 km were covered with 2 official vehicles, some of which went and returned more than once. So, no one is attacking you because you are a man or a woman, because we are not interested in your gender or any other orientation. We are attacking you because you are the most ordinary thieves who ravage the state treasury and bring the once most successful, monopolistic companies to bankruptcy," the statement reads.
The European Union says it will "announce to the public which Democratic Party official was covering the expenses for coming from the north," while "coming to work in an official vehicle of a state-owned company, of which he was until recently the director."
"As for our MP, it is simply untrue that he came to work in an official vehicle and claimed travel expenses for a private vehicle, which MP Nenezić explained in his response. But we advise you to get ready - in the next episode you will find out how a Democratic Party official claimed travel expenses for coming to work from the north, even though he does not live there and even though he is brought to work by an official vehicle of a state-owned company, of which he was the director until recently," the statement said.
The European Union adds that citizens have been given the opportunity to "see firsthand what Democrats are like."
"In the end, one of the best achievements of August 30th is that the citizens of Montenegro were given the opportunity to see directly, with their own eyes, who you are, what you are and what you are like. The best indicator of this is the mass protests taking place in Podgorica, which have united students, citizens, civil society and a huge number of those who can agree on little, but are united in one thing - in their feeling of disgust towards the Democrats," the statement reads.
