The leader of the political group "Budva Our City", Nikola Jovanović, claims that the leader of the "For the Future of Budva" list, Mladen Mikijelj, begged the Democratic Party of Socialists through his channels to support him in parliament, in return offering them 30 percent of positions in the future local government.
Jovanović responded to accusations that have come in recent days from Mikijelj's coalition, which accused him of being a "traitor" because he allegedly agreed to power with the DPS, and a henchman of the drug gangs of Kavača and Supša.
"The latest political blunders of Mladen Mikijelj, a henchman of the Budva City Criminal Group and BIL figures, can only serve to give the public a good laugh these days. This stormtrooper who physically attacked a municipal official, Marijana Božović, and against whom legal proceedings have been initiated for this, is clearly losing ground and is making nonsense that no one believes. The best thing about himself is that he is ready to attack women in order to get his hands on the mayor's chair and have a municipal budget of 65 million. The nervousness of this 'gentleman', with which he entertains the public by playing a dangerous role, has grown to a worrying level because he realizes that he will never be the mayor of the municipality. First, because betrayal is synonymous with his personal and political actions, and second, because the political entity representing the New Serbian Democracy has dropped from 12 mandates before the elections to only 3 mandates that it currently has. "If he had any moral and political responsibility, he would have resigned due to the electoral fiasco in two election cycles from which he definitely gained the status of 'political gravedigger of NSD Budva'. No one has destroyed and enslaved this party like his littleness, which, while rampaging through the assembly hall, physically attacked women. Manly and heroic, as befits his character," the statement reads.
In any country, it is added, with serious institutions, "after such incidents and excesses, he would be banned from engaging in any public business, and his place would be high on the pillar of shame."
"The noise this individual is creating these days is embodied in the famous folk wisdom where a thief shouts at the top of his voice: 'Catch the thief!'. Fortunately, in Montenegro, the rule has long been in effect that it doesn't matter what someone tells you, but who told you. The public has the opportunity to see two Mikijeljs with disgust, both in desperate straits. The first one calls us to reconciliation and practically whines and begs us to form a government with him, in which case we will be the best in the world and all the dirt and insults he directed at us on the principle that he is ready to do anything for the sake of power will be forgotten. The second Mikijelj calls us criminals, a drug cartel, traitors and the worst epithets in the world in order to intimidate us, presumably because he could physically attack one of our colleagues again," the statement emphasizes, adding:
"This kind of political and character dualism has not been seen on the political scene for a long time. Since there is no one on his side to tell him, we ask him to preserve at least a shred of dignity if he has any left and not humiliate himself any more with such statements and jumping around the assembly hall. Well, it's not like everything is allowed for the sake of a chair and a salary of 3.000 euros for the director of the Coastal Zone. He served as the director of the Coastal Zone for 18 months in the minority government of the DPS and received 54.000 euros from that infamous DPS, so he has no right to say anything to anyone. His cooperation with the DPS was very profitable for him and we see that today's morality of 'never with them' did not work for him then. And if he has now, we call on him to donate those 54.000 euros to charity and thereby prove that he has truly repented. It is especially humiliating how Mikijelj, through his channels, is begging the Budva DPS to support him in the local government and in return is offering them 30% of the power because it seems that the DPS is at his beck and call when they support him, and when they don't, they are evildoers. Again, some strange dualism or lack of principles. It could be both."
Finally, as it is emphasized, "we strongly recommend that Mikijelj, no matter how difficult and painful it may be for him, accept the fact that he will never sit in the chair of the mayor and that he will not have the opportunity to get his hands on the municipal budget."
"We will not allow his kidnappers, OKG Budvanska and BIL, to squander municipal money like they are doing in Morski dobro. It would be a shame if they were separated now because the competent institutions will be looking for them soon, so it is best to find them in one place, in the offices of Morski dobro, where this Government of Montenegro has gathered them all, and they have turned state institutions into OKG headquarters," the statement concludes.
