The Social Democrats of Montenegro (SD), apart from those who do not participate in it, are currently a group of the biggest hypocrites and the embodiment of moral collapse in contemporary Montenegrin politics, said the Democratic Montenegro.
"The parliamentary rostrum, or rather the media scene, which should be a place for exchanging ideas and arguments, has long since become a stage for them to spread the most heinous lies and the dirtiest insults against their colleagues, and often the most primitive behavior seen in the history of parliamentarism. With their statements, they have shown their willingness to trample on all principles of political integrity for the sake of personal and party interests. Their opposition fight, allegedly for the benefit of citizens, represents only a cheap performance whose sole goal is to survive politically just above the threshold, regardless of the cost," the Democrats state in response to a statement from the European Union, the coalition of which the SD is a part, in which they accused them of being "an offshoot of the Skaljar clan, which bought votes for them."
Declaring oneself social democrats, while acting beyond any principles of social justice, solidarity, appreciation and respect, is nothing more than a betrayal of one's own name, believe the Democrats.
"This is not politics – this is a theater of hypocrisy, where the masks of morality fell long ago, leaving bare personal ambitions and the defense of counterfeit interests. When a single word loses its weight, when every spoken sentence is empty and colored with lies, then that word ceases to exist. That is exactly how every word sounds today when it comes out of their mouths or pens – not as a word, but as a reminder of the decades of destruction and the current hypocrisy they show every day, and especially today when they are completely exposed," the Democrats point out.
They say that there really is nothing more beautiful than when the famous "Ramada Party" gets all excited, spreads its wings, and gets this angry just because it's caught in the act of disobedience.
"And, as the media reports, a fraud that amounted to 30 euros, which is more than the zero euros for which some of their officials received apartments that they regularly rent, and slightly less than the price per square meter of other of their officials who received luxury apartments in Podgorica. Of course, they regularly nominated Veselin Veljović and similar celebrities from the dock as ministers for directors of the Police Administration, because their sense of 'fighters' against crime was unmistakable on the one hand, and the need to achieve personal privileges was unscrupulous," the Democrats' statement states.

They told citizens that when SD tries to connect someone with criminal organizations, then they should know that the panic is precisely in those criminal groups that it spawned and made stronger than the state, the very system and regime they served.
"Therefore, it is no wonder that they are calling for protests against those who are creating all the prerequisites for the continuation of the prosecution of members of the Škaljari and Kavač criminal clans and anyone who serves criminal interests. The competent institutions prove every day that there is no name or criminal group that can be protected. That is why there is panic. That is why today they are on a joint mission with the 'students' Mijajlović and Milović in the streets with demands for their resignations.
In their attempt to defend themselves in their attack on us, they are using cheap, stale subterfuges and lies, all in an attempt to absolve Veselin Veljović, Ljubo Milović, Zoran Lazović and others of responsibility. If there was anything compromising for the Democrats, Milivoje Katnić would not have scandalously posted irrelevant private correspondence on the prosecutor's office website, and Dragan Krapović would not have been arrested for a traffic violation, turning it into an attack on the constitutional order, but they would have imprisoned us immediately. Neither Milivoje nor Zoran, nor you, for whom every truth is exactly like this and for whom we are currently the greatest threat, would certainly not have missed such an opportunity," the Democrats state.
They add that the defeat of society, the betrayal of the state, and the problem of all those who served the former regime, which is why they should at least keep quiet, and not frustratedly deceive people who have lived their entire lives honorably and worked for a salary, is that the prosecutorial and judicial processes of the competent institutions show that this country and its key institutions were transformed into a classic courier center for mafia structures during the former regime.
"Well, that movie will never be made again. And that's why those who are useless to no one, who are allowed to mention every name and every criminal, who purge the mafia's servants from the system and put honest people in decision-making positions, are bothering us. Because they know that it will get worse and worse for all sides and servants of the mafia scene."
And that's why the lies of the aforementioned colleagues no longer surprise anyone, especially when we consider that they are a party whose officials were proven to have lied in court, which the court established. It's just that we differ, because we believe that there are limits and that not everything is allowed in politics.
"As they did then, so they are now making up the story that a company car drove Zdenka Popović to her apartment, forgetting that the streets in that part of the city are closed to traffic, as it is a pedestrian zone. All that remains is for them to say that she landed at her apartment by parachute from the Army of Montenegro. Considering how hypocritical they are, that's exactly what they will say," the statement concludes.
