Reform momentum and political stability are key to the country's European path, it was assessed at a meeting between Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorčević and the European Parliament rapporteur for Montenegro, Marjan Šarec.
The meeting concluded that Montenegro, by preserving political stability and working together with all stakeholders, can successfully continue to fulfill its European obligations and achieve its European perspective within the planned timeframe.
As announced by the Ministry of European Affairs (MEP), at the meeting between Gorčević and Šarec, Montenegro's priorities in the negotiation process were discussed, and reforms and stability were highlighted as key elements of success.
Gorčević said that the Government of Montenegro is firmly committed to completing the negotiation process by next year.
"The government has fully directed its administrative capacities towards this goal, and we believe that the plan is achievable with the joint efforts of all political entities," Gorčević emphasized.

She stressed the importance of joint action and called on the opposition to constructively participate in the process.
"The European project is not the responsibility of the Government alone, but of all of us who want a European future for Montenegro," said Gorčević.
Šarec, as stated by the MEP, recognized the efforts that Montenegro has invested in the European integration process.
"Preserving the reform momentum and political stability must be a priority in the coming period. It is necessary to put aside identity issues and focus on the common goal - European integration," said Šarec.
He called on all political actors, from the government and the opposition, to work to preserve unity in order to effectively fulfill the obligations from the European agenda.
The meeting, as stated, highlighted the high-quality cooperation between Montenegro and the European Commission, which contributes to the dynamic process of closing negotiation chapters.
