Komunalno Budva, which performs strategically important tasks for our city, was deliberately brought to bankruptcy in a robbery that has never been recorded, all with a three-month ban on the legally elected management from entering the company, the coalition "For the Future of Budva" announced today.
They support "the employees of Komunalno doo Budva in their fight for their rights, as well as the management led by the legally elected director Ilija Gigović, who clearly said "no" to the dismantling of the company and the collapse of the Municipal Company".
"Respect for the Law, the Statute and the company's acts are the only way to return to normality and remedy the poor state of this collective. The employees are the ones who kept Komunalno doo alive - the silent heroes who, with their work and effort, enabled the city to function. Unfortunately, Nikola Jovanović's political elite, embodied in Predrag Ivanović and Milan Perović, did not want to take responsibility. Instead of being ashamed of their incompetence and purchased diplomas, for management marked by dirt, disorder and incompetence, they engaged in stealing seals, locking offices and attempts to prevent the new director Gigović from taking office and conducting an audit of the business. Today, when the company has hit rock bottom, they are blaming others for their mistakes," the coalition "For the Future of Budva" headed by Mladen Mikijelj said in a statement.
Workers, they point out, have been left without salaries, and citizens and tourists in a dirty and untidy city.
"We support the efforts of Director Ilija Gigović to finally complete the handover, conduct an audit and create a rehabilitation plan, as well as for the prosecution and police to react urgently because the robbery of Ivanović, Perović and his gang must not be forgiven. Those who falsely fight against corruption in the morning and that we as a city do not suffer consequences due to the WTE wastewater project, in the afternoon want to vote out Petar Odžić, the President of the Budva Municipal Assembly, who personally participated in the management board of Vodovod and in the robbery of the Budva Municipality. We are fighting for the constitution and respect for the law by not allowing the OKG DPS, who robbed the city, to be in a position to rob again today with the help of Nikola Jovanović and his satellites. This is a fight to prevent robbery," said the coalition "For the Future of Budva".
Today, they add, it is the turn of the Municipal Department, and tomorrow the Water Supply Department and the Municipality of Budva itself.
"The disease of the organized crime group DPS" has also affected the officials of 'Budva, our city'. We are fighting for the Constitution and laws so that Budva does not become a victim of their manipulation, greed and corruption. There are no more differences in the speech and threats of DPS officials from Podgorica and Jovanović locally. Everything has become equal because both are moving in the same direction - to introduce Montenegro into anarchy, a state of lawlessness and crime, as it was during the rule of DPS. Budva belongs to its citizens, not to the criminal groups DPS - SDP - Jovanović, who want to capture it and the fight against them is the most important and noblest type of political struggle that we will ever wage," the coalition "For the Future of Budva" says in a statement.

Workers of the "Čistoća" work unit of the Municipal Company have been on strike since yesterday, demanding that they be paid their December and January salaries. They gathered in front of the municipal company's administrative building this morning. For the previous two days, they had been on strike in the grounds of the company's base in Bečići.
The Acting Director of the Budva Public Utility Company, Ilija Gigović, and the Board of Directors announced earlier today that they support the employees in everything they do, and that they are a priority in further action.
