The European Alliance, which consists of the Social Democrats (SD), the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Liberal Party (LP), announced today that it has formed a Coordination Committee in Podgorica, and said "we will quickly overthrow the new city government that was created through blackmail."

"At a joint meeting of the Capital City Committee of the Social Democrats, the Social Democratic Party and the Liberal Party, the initiative for the formation of the European Alliance Coordination Committee at the Podgorica level was presented and joint goals and activities within the Alliance were defined. In addition, the meeting summarized impressions from the last Podgorica elections, in which the European Alliance participated with the support of non-partisan figures and achieved a very notable result," the statement states.
The European Union added that it was also emphasized that "the European Union has great growth potential in the Capital City, and that the votes received in the local elections in Podgorica were clean and honest, and that the campaign showed that an emancipated and decent performance can gain the support of citizens who represent the same values."
"The discussion focused on the political situation in Podgorica and recent developments related to the formation of the city government, and it was emphasized that the current government in Podgorica was formed on rotten compromises and blackmail, and that as such it will not last long. The European Alliance in Podgorica will continue with three councilors to point out all the failures of the city government and anomalies that arise from unprincipled mutual concessions by the government's constituents, who in the previous period showed a lack of concern for the Capital City and a commitment to exclusively personal and narrow party interests. We will quickly overthrow such a government, therefore we expect elections in a much shorter period than planned," the European Alliance statement reads.
The association said that one of the conclusions of the meeting was that they would uncompromisingly advocate for the interests of citizens in every part of Podgorica, so that the city would be a better and higher quality place for all citizens to live.
"The session, at which, with the presence of members of all three constituents of the Alliance, the foundations for successful joint cooperation were laid, and future activities and the implementation of common goals were discussed, was chaired by Boris Mugoša (SD), Budimir Mugoša (SDP) and Danijela Popović (LP), while the leaders of the European Alliance, Damir Šehović, Ivan Vujović and Vatroslav Belan, and the MP in the Parliament of Montenegro, Branislav Nenezić, also addressed the attendees," the European Alliance said in a statement.
