The President of the Social Democrats (SD) and one of the leaders of the European Alliance, Damir Šehović, congratulated the newly elected President of the Budva Municipal Assembly, Petar Odžić.
In a post on Iks, he said that he was sure that this was a new beginning – "tonight in Budva, soon in Nikšić, and then throughout Montenegro."
"Congratulations to Petar Odžić on his election as President of the Budva Municipal Assembly! Budva is getting the first man in the legislative branch who can bring it back to the civic and European track. I am sure that this is a new beginning – tonight in Budva, soon in Nikšić, and then throughout Montenegro," Šehović wrote.

Representative of the European Union and President of the Main Board of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Mirko Stanić, congratulated Odžić.
"Congratulations to my dear friend Petar Odžić on his election as president of the Budva Municipal Council, with the hope that Budva will move forward with him, Jovo Perović and other brave people to the satisfaction of all citizens," Stanić wrote on the social network X.
Borančić: Changes for a better and different Montenegro are starting from Budva
Vice President of the Liberal Party and representative of the European Union Ammar Borančić congratulated Petar Odžić on his election as President of the Budva Municipal Council and said that this is an announcement of great changes, the LP announced tonight.
"Congratulations to the brave comrade Petur Odžić, the new president of the Budva Assembly. We said that Budva and Montenegro need clean and honest people who fight bravely and speak the truth at all costs, and we succeeded, we gave new hope. Changes for a better and different Montenegro that we deserve are starting from Budva," Borančić said on the social network X.

According to him, the election of Odžić is an announcement that responsible, professional and decent people and politicians are getting a chance to change things.
