In order to lower the prices of basic foodstuffs, Social Democrats (SD) MPs will initiate amendments to the law on value added tax (VAT) in order to reduce the VAT rate on fruit, vegetables and fish from 21 to 7 percent, SD MP and European Union representative Boris Mugoša announced today.
He wrote this on the social network X.
"In neighboring Croatia, a reduced rate of 5% is applied to all basic products for human consumption, while in our country, fruit, vegetables and fish are exempt from the reduced tax rate," Mugoša said.
