Since Saturday evening, when Nikšić witnessed scandalous scenes when the Nikšić Theater building was almost set on fire, and as the media reports, police officers who were only and exclusively doing their job that evening were attacked and injured - we have not heard a word from the Police Directorate (PD), the Municipal Committee (OO) of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Nikšić announced tonight.
Fans of Red Star Belgrade and Partizan Belgrade, "Delije" and "Grobari", clashed on Saturday, February 8th in Nikšić, RTNK reported at the time. This reportedly nearly halted a charity concert at the Nikšić Theatre.

The DPS Nikšić said that they were forced to ask - "does the Police Administration, which is, incidentally, led by a Nikšić resident, think it necessary to speak out on this occasion and timely and objectively inform the Nikšić and Montenegrin public about what happened, and about the steps that were taken to prosecute those responsible for the conflict in which, we repeat, according to media reports, several Nikšić police officers were injured while performing their official duties, in which several windows were broken on the theater building, in which firefighters prevented even greater damage from being caused by the destroyed outdoor lighting and waterproofing installation?"
"Not only that, we ask the Basic State Prosecutor's Office when it plans to start doing its job in relation to this specific case and to take the necessary activities to prosecute those who demonstrated in front of the temple of Nikšić culture what it means to be a bully, a bully and a destroyer. If they continue with this loud silence, they will confirm the fact that has been proven many times before that for the post-August 30th lineups in the police and prosecutor's office there are those who are above the law, and these are individuals and groups close to the current government, as is the case with specific fan groups from Trebinje and Bileća," the statement reads.
DPS Nikšić said that "if they fail to react, we will not be surprised."
"We will not, because we have witnessed the lack of reaction even when people from Trebinje and Bileća decide the fate of the people of Nikšić in the elections, because they illegally hold dual citizenship, and since 2021 nothing has been done based on the 954 criminal reports we have filed on this occasion. The fact that the police and the prosecutor's office have taken no action in this case to date, just as they have taken no action in numerous other situations, will not stop us from calling for accountability, because the day will come when everyone who today turns a blind eye to the wrongdoings of many close to the current rulers will suddenly open their eyes and be held accountable for their inaction before the laws and institutions of this country," stated the DPS Nikšić.
