The informal group of students "Where Tomorrow?" will organize a blockade for several hours today in front of the Government building in Podgorica, due to unfulfilled demands regarding the tragedy in Cetinje in which 13 people were killed.
Students called on citizens from all cities in Montenegro to hold a joint blockade from 11 a.m. to 17:26 p.m.
Milo Perović from the group "Where Tomorrow?" said that during the blockade they would try to disrupt the Government session with noise.
"We are here to make noise and disrupt that session, to act in civil disobedience within dignified limits," Perović told the MINA agency.
The Government session has been announced for 14 p.m.
Perović said that they reported the protest and explained what they were planning in a conversation with the police.
He said that he expects people from all over Montenegro to come to the blockade.
Perović pointed out that students were at blockades with citizens in Nikšić, Kotor and Cetinje, where people gave them support and said they would come to the blockade in front of the Government building.
"I expect that people from all over Montenegro, in smaller or larger numbers, will come to the blockade tomorrow," Perović added.
The informal student group "Where Tomorrow?" organized road blockades in Podgorica last week, while citizens organized blockades on their own initiative in several other cities.
In response to the tragedy in Cetinje, students are demanding the dismissal of the Minister of Interior Danilo Šaranović and the Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Aleksa Bečić.
They also demand proactive action by the competent institutions regarding the issue of weapons possession, reform of the system of functioning of police structures, the return of civic education as a mandatory subject in schools, as well as improving the institutional approach to mental health care.
