In the context of building and improving good neighborly relations between Kosovo and Montenegro, we Albanians have made an immeasurable contribution to the affirmation of these relations, through consistent advocacy for mutual understanding, strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting the values of coexistence and regional stability, announced today the Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Nikola Camaj.
The Assembly announced that Camaj congratulated the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti, the Speaker of the Assembly, Glauko Konjufci, and the citizens of Kosovo on February 17 - Independence Day of the Republic of Kosovo.
"This significant date symbolizes the aspiration for freedom, democratic development and strengthening of institutions that are the foundation of the stability and progress of your state. Montenegro and Kosovo share deep historical and cultural ties, and over the years we have built a strong partnership based on mutual respect, good neighborly cooperation and a common vision of the European future. In the context of building and improving good neighborly relations between Kosovo and Montenegro, we Albanians have made an immeasurable contribution to the affirmation of these relations, through consistent advocacy for mutual understanding, strengthening bilateral cooperation and promoting the values of coexistence and regional stability," Camaj emphasized in a statement.
He added that "membership in the European Union remains a strategic goal for both Kosovo and Montenegro, and it is the obligation of all of us to support each other on that path."
"I believe that our relations will continue to develop in the spirit of friendship and mutual support, with the aim of strengthening peace, stability and prosperity throughout the region. We strongly support all initiatives that contribute to the deepening of economic, political and cultural cooperation between our countries, convinced that through joint efforts we can further improve the quality of life of citizens and create even stronger bridges of friendship," said Camaj.
